Off to fly a kite!

The kids got a kite from the Easter Bunny and Saturday was a great day for flying kites. The ladybug made a few passes in the sky and Lydia even held on to the string. IMG_0121 IMG_0117 Elijah is in love with his skidloader and on Thursday it made it outside for some real digging. If he keeps it up he will have the sidewalk edged by fall! IMG_0095 Dominic is on all fours these days just a rocking and then sometimes rolling. Though his expression makes hime look "caught in the act" he frequently has pursed lips as he is exploring those two new teeth on the bottom. They are pretty cute when he smiles! IMG_0020

Milestones

It has been a busy week!! Dominic had his first tooth pop through on Wednesday night. Yeah for the little guy :) We also decided to start him on oatmeal last night. It was amazing that he openned his mouth when I brought the spoon up on the first try. Tonight he was definately feeling left out when we were all eating and he didn't have anything so we mixed up some cereal and he eat almost a whole bowl. He is getting so big!! Almost 18 lbs. on the scale. We only know that because he went to see the doctor twice this week; once with fever and the other time with unexplained hives. Thankfully the fever and hives never really affected his mood and are both gone. IMG_0011 IMG_0007 IMG_0009

Happy Easter!

Decorating Easter eggs was full of excitement - fizzing sounds, moving tablets and smelly vinegar.

Lydia got her baby fix with cousin Kourtney and the cousins enjoyed playing outside and jumping on the trampoline.

Hope you had a wonderful Holy Week!! We sure did - minus Eli getting sick on Thurs. and us not having our God Daughter visit for the weekend.

Our weekend...

On Thurs. the kids and Charlie bought something super exciting!!  A BUNKBED!  So our project yesterday and today was putting it together.  Lydia couldn't wait and when Charlie had it all done, she said "Daddy you did a good job!"  She is super excited to sleep on the top bunk.  Unfortunatly Eli was too, which made for a bit of disappointment when we told him to sleep on the bottom.  Hopefully the new sheets that he gets to pick out at the store later will make him a bit more excited.  I am guessing construction sheets will go in the basket. :)

So the bunkbed purchase has been in our thoughts since Eli suprised us with wanting to sleep on the floor like big sister shortly after Dominic was born.  Why the floor? We don't know but that is where she would sleep.  In the past month we have really been working on sleeping in their beds so thought this would be a great reward.  We are praying for no more floor sleeping!!

Check out the pictures of us putting together the bunks...

On Friday we went Egging!!  Not with real eggs, but plastic Easter ones silly. :)  We quietly placed a dozen eggs in some of our friend's yards and left them a note that they have been egged and to pass it on to other people.  The kids thought it was fun hidding the eggs and I think our friends enjoyed finding them too.
