Gingerbread House
Not sure the gingerbread man will come for a stay in our house, but either way it was fun to make! We used a giant fish cracker box which in the end Lydia asked if there were crackers left in it :) Lucky for her we emptied it before covering with frosting and graham crackers. Then we decorated with M&Ms, candy kisses, licorice, gummy bears, and Mike&Ikes. Lydia enjoyed making windows and the snow on the ground. Eli enjoyed taking a bite of a piece and then adding it to the house :)
It has been awhile so here are some updates on the family...
Dominic will be 5 weeks tomorrow. He sleeps, poops and eats a lot, but also smiles, is focusing on faces, and is such a laid back baby.
Elijah's vocabulary increases each day with new words like snow, tree, combine, and boot. He loves anything with wheels especially a large Tonka truck that he can sit in. He also likes looking at implement dealer magazines.
Lydia is back to being a tumbling tot at gymnastics which is good because she loves jumping or rolling from the couch. Not too much room for those types of activities so we go once a week to get her fix. She also has gotten into the Christmas spirit visiting Santa and asking for a pink Barbie with a bike. It has also been neat to see her enjoy lighting the advent candles each night. We just don't want to forget to blow them out - our wreath isn't on the table so the other night I almost forgot as we were all going to the Immaculate Conception service. Glad we didn't burn the place down!
Charlie has enjoyed the lack of snow this year and the somewhat warmer temperature for work on the farm and the limited shoveling at home. Though his favorite team the Colts haven't been doing so well, it is enjoyable to have family football time and it is pretty cute that Eli points downstairs where the TV is and says "football".
I have been enjoying my maternity leave and can't believe that the little man is already 5 weeks old. Been busy with farm tax prep. and Christmas prep. Can you guess which one I prefer doing?
