To show Charlie that he is in the runnings for Dad of the Year we traveled to Canterbury Downs to see the races on Sunday...
This was our first big adventure to an event with the two kids and it went well. Lydia loved seeing the horses run and then get sprayed down with a hose. She said they were getting a shower. We placed a few bets to have a horse to cheer for, but didn't win anything. Elijah enjoyed looking at all of the people, smiling at a little girl sitting behind us and riding in the baby bjorn.
Exciting happenings...
Elijah eat his first oatmeal on Saturday. He was definately ready for food and has done well each day having lunch with us. Lydia now feeds her baby oatmeal too. :)
We had a bonfire and made smores with my parents sunday night. Lydia liked sitting in her kid sized chair and I loved eating a yummy messy treat.
Elijah got his hair cut with the rest of the family yesterday. Just like his big sister he sat real still while Cherre trimed it up. Too cute now!! Looks like a little boy :)
We have been enjoying the typical summer trips to the park. Lydia and Eli both like the swings. Today we headed out even with rain threatening clouds. Our friends Katie and Abby did a great job pushing the kids.
