A week ago today, Lydia visited the doctor for her 9 month well baby visit. She weighed 14 lbs. and 12 oz. When I asked the doctor if we should be concerned about her weight he asked if I thought the scale reading had been aqurate. I responded that I didn't know, so we went and weighed her a couple more times, but they were all the same. Though she is a little peanut, she is growing which is the important thing. She loves to eat and is now even trying table foods. She is also starting to stand on her own and still loves to crawl. She is gettting quick! This past week she also cut two new teeth. One is on the bottom in the front and the other is on the top in the back. Here is a clip of her showing us how big she is. I don't know if they do "How big is Lydia" at daycare, but it sure surprised us the other night when she kept putting her hands up in the air, so we started saying "So Big!"

Is it November already?
A couple of weeks ago Lydia enjoyed her first ride in the tractor. Charlie was digging up a field that had already been harvested so we decided to bring dinner and join him for a few rounds. We couldn't believe that she didn't fall asleep with all the bumping along and the fact that she yawned every couple of minutes.
On Monday I had the day off, so we took Lydia in for her 9 month pictures. She is definately going through that shy stage. It took a long time for her to get comfortable, but once she did, we got some really cute pictures. After the pictures she fell asleep in the car with her hat on. Once she woke up it looked like the pictures were really exhausting :)
We have gotten to the point where we are comfortable letting Lydia cry herself to sleep. As you can see above, once she was so exhausted she laided down right where she was standing. It was too cute to resist taking a pictures.
Friday morning we woke up to a couple inches of snow covering the ground and all the trees. It was beautiful! We couldn't resist taking Lydia out to experience snow for the first time. She tried to eat it, but quickly found that it was cold.

Happy Halloween
Lydia has been trying to tell the Colts and her favorite player, Peyton, that they need to step it up and win a game. Her coaxing worked because they beat the Patriots last night. YEAH!

On Halloween, Lydia had many visitors; witches, princesses, angels, a couple Incredible Hulks, and a cute little owl. Below is Malcom the Owl, Brenda the Secretary, Lydia the cow, and Me the farmer.

Charlie and I dressed as farmers to go with Lydia's cow costume.

Lydia and her cousin, Kyla the ladybug, enjoyed a late night visit at Grandpa and Grandma Yosts on Halloween. They were both pretty tired, but stuck it out to the last stop for Trick or Treating.

Last Tuesday at ECFE class the teacher brought a pumpkin for the kids to feel. Lydia didn't stop at touching, she went right to tasting. Obviously she liked the taste and the feel of the pumpkin. I also cooked up a pumpkin this weekend and she loves it! Hopefully she continues to like her vegetables and doesn't grow up like her mom :)
