One Apple, Two Apples

A couple weeks ago, Lydia got to hang out with her two buddies, Malcom and Thomas. She obviously is the one with the purple shoes, but we didn't plan real well for the picture because she looks like one of the boys.

Lydia has been entertaining us by standing up next to things, getting into everything, sticking out her tongue and most recently eating apples. We have a box of apples in the kitchen which she would crawl over to, pull herself up, and then take one out to eat. After the first couple of times persistently going over again and again I let her chew on it. I was worried about the skins at first, but she proceeded to eat almost all the skin off with no trouble. The only bad thing we have discovered is that she now has a diaper rash from all the acidity in the apples she has been eating.

Last weekend when it was so nice we brought Lydia out to my parents farm for a photo opportunity in the leaves. She wasn't so keen at first, but definitely enjoyed trying to eat the leaves.

Paige our God Daughter came for a visit this weekend. She enjoyed making applesauce with Charlie, going to the pumpkin patch, working on the farm, and painting her pumpkin.

Happening's at the Yost household...

Lydia now has 7 teeth and maybe some more on the way because this week she has had a fever off and on.

We made applesauce on Saturday night with our friend Amy.

We put out our scarecrow, cornshock, and pumpkins. Putting things out in the front yard to decorate is one of my favorite things of the year and this year the corn is sooo tall! Don't you think the family picture turned out good considering the camera was balancing on a pumpkin?

Great Grandpa Elmer and Great Grandma Emma came to visit. Lydia enjoyed showing them how she growls, stands by things, and is simply a busy body.

How we love Fall!!

On the 27th of September we enjoyed a fun wedding. A friend from High School, Alisa, got married and had a very nice reception. It was fun seeing High School friends, looking at decoration ideas for Carissa's wedding, and dancing. Lydia even enjoyed dancing with Sue, a neighbor that was also at the wedding.

Last week on Thursday, we meet a friend to pick up a load of Honeycrisp and Courtland apples. As you can see we will be busy this fall making applesauce (Lydia loves the stuff we made last year), cider and wine.

Saturday was a busy day with the JI marathon and GAC homecoming. Lydia and I walked in the marathon. She even got to hang out with her friend Malcolm at the marathon.
