Tell me, tell me, shining star, Christmas Day is just how far?
Can you believe that December is almost upon us? Advent Starts on Sunday, the Christmas cards have started arriving, and the season of hustle and bustle is in full swing. We had a wonderful month of November, although I truthfully don’t remember much of it because pregnancy brain has definitely set in.
We have been attending birthing classes offered through our clinic which at first made me really worried about the labor process. I now, after completing 4 classes and talking with a Doula, feel more confident and ready to see the baby for the first time in a couple of months. It has been enjoyable having an excuse for Charlie and me to go to Mankato for class and then run errands together because otherwise we are both very busy with teaching and farming. We also have been getting more and more baby things from friends and family. Everyone’s generosity has amazing! Last week we purchased our first 2 packs of diapers because I had coupons. It definitely made it all seem more real J.
Other news of interest; our house could officially be considered a zoo. Two weeks ago one of the dogs from the farm had surgery and has been at the house since then. That means we still have Carissa’s psychotic cat, Piper, roaming the house and now a dog that only walks on three legs. I have to admit that I don’t mind having him around. I strongly believe that God put this situation in our lives right now to help us prepare for the baby which sounds crazy, but just hear me out. Bandit, the dog, needs to be let out to go to the bathroom and he needs a lot of attention because he is used to being free to go where ever. It is preparing us for having a baby whose needs will mostly come before ours.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Christmas and hearing about your busy lives in your Christmas letters.
God Bless!!
